NSC EnergyOpti Oy Acquires Majority Stake in Automous Oy

Helsinki, Finland - August 19, 2026 - NSC EnergyOpti Oy today announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Automous Oy, bringing together complementary expertise in energy-market operations, trading, optimization, forecasting, and technology. The transaction strengthens the companies’ ability to serve customers in the rapidly evolving European energy sector while providing a platform for accelerated growth and technology development.

The acquisition combines NSC EnergyOpti’s expertise in energy-market services, trading, market access, balancing services, and multi-market optimization with Automous’ advanced forecasting and optimization technology. Together, the companies will provide customers with a more comprehensive offering across the energy optimization and trading value chain, including market access, intelligent optimization, forecasting, balancing services, and operational energy trading.

The transaction builds on the companies’ existing cooperation and their shared view of how increasingly complex and volatile electricity markets should be addressed: through the close integration of market expertise, automation, data, AI, and advanced optimization.
